How cute are these babies!? They were owner surrendered to a shelter and we picked them up right away. These poor little pups were COVERED in fleas and ticks and had huge worm bellies. We have treated them for all parasites (internal and external) and they look and feel so much better.

Rosebud, Budderball, and Buddha were owner surrendered to us. They are purebred Golden Retrievers. Their mom was just a puppy herself and wanted nothing to do with them. The owner had no clue how to raise a litter of puppies. They are the sweetest babies!

Sunday is ready for a home!
It’s Sunday! This beautiful mama came to us after her owner threatened to shoot her because she was pregnant. A kind elderly neighbor held onto Sunday until we could receive her; no one wanted to see her die! Sunday’s DNA came back as 50% Australian shepherd, and the other 50% was a mix of German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd, and Belgian Malinois. She had 8 babies; 4 boys and 4 girls.

This good ol’ girl is Maggie. According to her DNA test, she is 100% Foxhound! Maggie came to us in terrible shape. Her skin is horrendous and she was very skinny. We are working hard to get her looking like she should! She had 8 babies and they are the “M” litter.

This is our “Spring” litter. They were found on the side of the road in a milk crate. We have no background information on them at all. Their DNA test came back as foxhound with a little dachshund and chihuahua sprinkled in.

Introducing the Powerpuff Girls! These three sweet sisters were picked up on the side of the road. They are German shepherd mixes, and Bubbles possibly has some Anatolian shepherd in her. All we know is they are beautiful and gentle girls.

Ok I know we brag about our sweet moms all the time but…meet Sarabi. Anyone who has the pleasure of meeting her has hit the jackpot. Sarabi was pregnant roaming by the Satilla river. She jumped in a man’s car and he took her home. She birthed 11 super cute and unique puppies under his house. Someone cut Sarabi’s ears to try and make her look mean and tough. It did not work one bit. Sarabi melts in your lap and is friendly with every dog she meets.

Olivia was also dumped behind a store. She had 6 drop dead gorgeous puppies; 3 boys and 3 girls! Sadly, one of the boys did not make it; she now has 2 boys and 3 girls.

Nala is the sweetest boxer mom who was just used over and over again for greedy people’s profit. Once she was no longer of use, they dumped her while pregnant with 9 babies behind a furniture store. They are safe now and will only know the good life!

Little pups need big names! These babies’ mom was a small beagle, and we were told dad was also small. So we are calling them chigles (chihuahua/beagles) and they got Marvel character names.

Meet sweet Willow. She and her 4 friends were dumped near the woods. They all stayed together until animal control picked them up. Willow was pregnant and heartworm positive. She gave birth at our partner rescue, but now she and her 9 babies are with us! Their names are “Bubble Guppy” themed.

Rori and her 7 pups are some of our newest BH4P pups. Rori was a stray taken in at animal control. She birthed her puppies there before arriving with us. Rori is a blue tick coonhound; we don’t know who the father of the puppies is.

These 6 stunning puppies were born on 10/24. They are husky mixes and will be ready for homes starting 12/19.

Both girls have homes.
These two sweet girls are the definition of fighters. We rescued their mom who was a purebred Rottweiler. She was very skinny and would not eat. Our vets suspected an infected uterus. When she went in for a spay, they discovered a horrible tumor on her pancreas that spread. We humanely euthanized her because there was no saving mama. After that, her litter of 5 became bottle babies. 3 died, but Skye and Star fought hard and are now fantastic healthy puppies!

All of Maizey’s babies went home!

Maizey and her Thanksgiving babies are just gorgeous! Maizey was living with her puppies in a dirt hole surrounded by trash. She had a skin infection as well as a double ear infection. She is all better now and her puppies are thriving!

Meet Mildred, our little beagle mix. Mildred was a stray who had 8 super cute babies under someone’s house. They knew that was no place for a mommy dog to raise puppies and so Mildred and pups went to rescue!

Sweet Josie was left behind by her family. Neighbors fed her and tried to bring her to their house, but she kept running back to her house. She was hoping her family would come back, but they never did. Josie is covered in scars and sores. On 9/27/2023 she gave birth to 13 puppies! She is safe and loved.

Marlee and her 7 babies were surrendered by their elderly owner. She had way too many dogs and knew she couldn’t properly care for them anymore. We found out that Marlee is deaf and also has some vision loss. She does not let this stop her at all; she gets around just fine, loves to play, and loves her cuddles!

All of Faith’s babies went home! Faith found her forever home as well!
Faith gave birth on someone’s back deck with no shelter. One of her babies died due to the extreme heat. Faith also had to have an emergency mastectomy when she arrived at our rescue. She is 100% better and ready for a home!

These are Daisy’s babies. Daisy gave birth at someone’s house who took her in as a stray. They were unable to help/keep her, so we stepped in!
The females are Azalea, Camellia, Magnolia, Marigold, and Petunia. The males are Falcon, Finch, Hawk, and Sparrow.

This little mama named Lilly was rescued from a hoarding case. She is 25 pounds of love and affection. She only had 3 sweet munchkins. We are excited to watch them grow!

Simon and Garfunkel were found on the side of the road in Clewiston by a previous adopter. They knew who to call! They are two very sweet boys ready for a loving home.

This little family is momma Jessie and puppies Otis, Isla, and Ivy. Jessie was a stray taken in by a kind person. However, when she surprised her with babies, she knew she was in over her head. Jessie is a shepherd lab mix and we expect her babies to be large; they are roly poly chunky babies right now!

Jade is another young girl that was being used for backyard breeding. Her “owner” kept taking multiple dogs/puppies to the vet to be euthanized. The vet got suspicious and had animal control check them out. These poor dogs and puppies were living in deplorable conditions. They are safe now! Atlas is the male; Eclipse and Nova are the females.

This poor, sweet mommy named Lizzie was being used for breeding over and over. They lived outside in the dirt; her sweet babies were absolutely covered in fleas. Only blue skies ahead for this family.

Yet another accidental litter…this is the “Marine Mammal” themed litter. They are cute little hound mixes. The females are Beluga, Dolphin, Manatee, Pinniped, and Vaquita. The males are Orca, Otter, and Walrus.

Raven, Rory, Rambo, and Rogue went home. 
Meet the shepadoodles. Victims of backyard breeding. These poor babies had horrible skin conditions when they were saved from the house they were at. They are still healing from all their issues, but they will be so cute when they are healed! Raven and Rory are females, Rambo and Rogue are males.

Hot dog! We had two chiweenies join us. They were an accidental litter. Fajita is a girl and Burrito is a boy.

Kiwi was adopted!
This cute little pup is Kiwi! Kiwi’s mom was an XL Bully and dad was a Blue Pit Bull. She was only 1/3 the size of her siblings, so we took her on and gave her extra love and food! She’s still petite but makes up for it with personality.

Meet the Florida cities litter. Their gorgeous mommy is Bonita (after Bonita Springs) and she is a lab mix. Dad is supposedly a miniature pinscher. The family was taken to a rural shelter with basically zero funding; they didn’t even have food to feed the animals at the shelter. Bonita and babies were set to be euthanized so of course we had to save them. She had 4 boys and 4 girls!

My Little Pony! These 5 girls were owner surrendered. Their dog got pregnant and they recognized they would not be able to provide the best care for the little fluffballs. Their momma is a Great Pyrenees and dad is a shepherd mix. They will be large!

Gelato and Pesto were adopted!

Meet the Italian litter. Their mother was hit by a car. We were told she was an Anatolian Shepherd/Lab mix. They will be large dogs.

Meet Piper and her babies! They are named after Dragon Ball Z. Piper is a walker hound but we don’t know who the pups’ dad is. Females: Bulma, Chichi, Kale. Males: Broly, Goku, Piccolo, Trunks, Vegeta.

This is the nut litter. The two chocolates are actually from the same litter and the white baby was a singleton. Cashew and Pecan were orphaned when the county shelter they were born in euthanized their mother “for killing her babies.” Rescue was on the way for the whole family, and they still euthanized 😡. Coconut was from a backyard breeder who pulled her way too soon from her mommy and gave her away. That person gave her away again, and that person brought her to rescue.

Iris and Selene were adopted.
Meet Iris and Selene. These hound mixes were dumped out of a laundry basket after the man trying to sell them gave up. A good samaritan witnessed the whole thing and saved the two girls right away. They are super sweet and ready for their forever homes!

Millie’s DNA came back as 100% Bloodhound. We don’t know who the puppies’ father is, but we are guessing lab based off of how they look.
Awooo! Millie the bloodhound mix has joined the Big Hearts crew. She was adopted out from another shelter but returned a few days later because the adopters “could not contain her.” Surprise! She was returned with a big belly full of babies. We are awaiting the arrival of her hound puppies!

3/15/23: Freckles’ babies are 4 weeks old and just adorable! Her females are Bingo, Bluey, Chilli, Muffin, Pirate, and Socks. Her males are Bandit, Bently, Rusty, and Stripe. They are named after the show “Bluey.”
Introducing Freckles! She was found abandoned in a mobile home community. We are very excited she now has a safe space to deliver her puppies. Freckles is a red heeler/coonhound mix.

All of Charm’s puppies were adopted. CHARM WAS ADOPTED TOO!

Charm’s DNA came back and she is a mix of just about everything! Since there are so many breeds in her makeup and not one of them contributed greatly, Charm will just be known as a mixed breed. She’s 100% the best girl though!
Charm delivered! In total 13 puppies were born. 7 were stillborn; on day 2 we lost one more. Charm has 5 babies that are doing well as of now!
Hello world! Meet Charm. Charm’s “owners” drove her down a dirt road, took her out of their truck, and got right back in and left her. Lucky for Charm there was a hunting camera near by that caught the whole thing! It’s heart breaking to watch, but we have already found the person responsible and Charm is in the best hands now. She is very pregnant and we can’t wait to meet her precious puppies soon!

This is Dolly! She and her 7 Valentine babies were owner surrendered. Dolly is just a puppy herself and soooo sweet! We were told dad was a shepherd mix; Dolly’s DNA came back as Boykin Spaniel/Lab mix! They will be ready February 14th.

Say hello to Jingle, Jangle, Holly, and Tinsel. These puppies were owner surrendered to a vet because their dogs had a litter and they could not properly care for all of them. They will be ready to go home starting December 5th!

This gorgeous Husky is Freya. She was found as a stray and very pregnant. Her puppies will be ready for their forever homes in January! Males: Moose, Polar, and Wolff. Females: Avalanche and Caribou.

Meet Harmony. This super sweet small lab mix was not being taken care of by her previous owners. When the courts got involved, the surrendered her. She was tied up outside with no food or water and barely any shelter. She came to us and had 6 cute little babies!

This is Chloe! A good samaritan found her and decided to keep her. To their surprise, she was pregnant! Due to their schedules and inexperience with delivery and puppy care they decided to have Chloe birth and raise her puppies here. Chloe is already adopted. She will take care of her puppies until they are ready to be separated and she will go back to her owners.

Meet the Black and White litter. These cute little fluff balls were bottle babies from 1 week old. They are very spoiled! There are 5 males: Checkers, Chess, Domino, Penguin, and Tuxedo. There is only one female: Panda. They are about 6 weeks old so keep checking in for when they become available!

Meet Olive. This super sweet momma was hours away from being euthanized along with her many babies in her tummy. We stepped in to grab her at the last minute! She couldn’t wait to give birth and had her first puppy in the transport van just as she pulled in. We got her into her comfy room and she went on to have a total of 10 puppies! Meet Tequila and her beverage babies! Tequila came from a cruelty case but she is the sweetest petite shepherd mix. She had 7 puppies; 3 females and 4 males.

Welcome Stella to Big Hearts 4 Paws. This super sweet senior is estimated to be 10 years old, maybe even older. She was dropped off at an animal clinic by someone who left a fake name and number. Stella had to have an emergency c-section to help deliver her 7 beautiful puppies. She was spayed at the same time so she will no longer have to worry about raising any more litters and can focus on living her best senior life from here on out.

Meet the Great Pyrenees puppies. These gentle giants are 4 months old and very laid back. They came from a backyard breeder who was having a hard time selling them. He was shocked when he found out that these dogs would be found wonderful homes where they can be inside enjoying the AC and being loved on. Before they came to us they were strictly outside dogs 🙁
Puffin is a female, and Balto and Flurry are males.

Meet Flicka and her 8 puppies. Flicka was picked up by Animal Care and Control from an apartment complex that did now allow dogs. Her owner called looking for her and said she would come get her. Her owner never showed up after 2 long weeks. Flicka gave birth at the shelter on April 29th. Her females are Fancy Flash, Misty, Pegasus, and Rain. Her males are Cobalt, Comanche, Maximus, and Mr. Ed.

Cagney and all of her puppies have been adopted! Cagney is 1yr old small border collie mix that came to us from Georgia. Cagney was abandoned along with Lacey at a couples’ house. They were being cared for by the couple and they finally found our rescue partner which immediately contacted us to take them. She delivered 9 healthy babies on January 13, 2022. Gracie came to us as a pregnant mommy on 04/03/2021. Gracie was unwanted by her owner because she was pregnant. Her previous owner kept her tied up with a wire coat hanger as the “collar” and something else keeping her tied to a tree. Gracie gave birth on 04/18/21 to 7 healthy puppies. She had 3 females and four males. We have named her male puppies; Archie, Oscar, Pax & Sammy. We have named her female puppies; Mara, Reya & Sheba. Mom and babies are Nova Scotia Dock Tolling Retriever mixes. We do not know who the daddy of the pups is although we were told he looked identical to mommy. Keep checking back for updates!

BAILEYS, BRANDY, JAMESON & KAHLUA were found in an abandoned trailer. Mom was a feral mom dog and she just left her babies. Baileys, Brandy & Kahlua are our females. Jameson is our one male. CHEWBACCA, KIERA, LYRA, YODA and VADER were received on 9/10/20. These poor babies were found abandoned in a bucket. They are about 4-5 weeks old. We do not know who mommy or daddy of the pups are.

Trixie was received on 7/3/20. We are waiting for her to deliver. Trixie’s DNA results came back as Lab/Coonhound mix! She is a gentle giant. Trixie is a 70 pound momma without the belly… so she is a very big girl. We do not know who daddy is for her puppies but we are very excited to receive them.
